OLA ARTE?

¿Existe el arte en Mallorca? ¿Qué puede ofrecernos la isla de interesante? ¿Sólo podemos encontrar hermosas playas y comida deliciosa? ¿Una persona que visite Mallorca con necesidades culturales altas, se sentirá decepcionada? ¿El arte aquí es creado para el mercado turístico o tiene un carácter individual y original? ¿Cuál es la situación actual de arte en Mallorca?

Estas son las preguntas que me hice cuando llegue. En los próximos meses, visitare galerías de arte y museos y realizare entrevistas con conservadores y artistas y os diré que cual es mi punto de vista en cuanto el arte contemporáneo de Mallorca. Los resultados pueden ser sorprendentes, porque como crítica independiente puedo valorar y explorar el asunto con objetividad y profundidad.

OLA ARTE?

Does art exist in Mallorca? What interesting has the island to offer? Are there only beautiful beaches and delicious food? Won't a person with high cultural requirements be disappointed? The question is if the art here is created for the turist market or if it is independent and original? What is the current situation of art in Mallorca?

When I came to the island I asked that myself. Over the following months, visiting art galleries and museums, interviewing curators and artists I will try to create a contemporary view of the art in Mallorca. The results may be surprising because as an outsider I can objectively look at the subject and explore it in depth.

OLA ARTE?

Czy sztuka na Majorce w ogóle istnieje? Co wyspa ma ciekawego do zaoferowania? Czy są to tylko przepiękne plaże i pyszne jedzenie? Czy osoba o wysokich wymaganiach kulturalnych nie zostanie rozczarowana? Czy sztuka tworzona tutaj ma indywidualny charakter, czy jest odtwórcza i tworzona na potrzeby turystów? Mieszkali i tworzyli tu zarówno Picasso jak i Miró, w przeszłości sztuka Majorki zachwycała. Jaka jej jest obecna kondycja?

Przyjeżdżając na wyspę postawiłam sobie te pytania. Przez najbliższe miesiące odwiedzając galerie sztuki i muzea, przeprowadzając wnikliwe wywiady z kuratorami i artystami postaram się stworzyć rzetelny obraz współczesnej sztuki Majorki. Rezultaty badań mogą okazać się zaskakujące, ponieważ jako osoba z zewnątrz mogę obiektywnie spojrzeć na temat i dogłębnie go zbadać.
